Race 2 @ 5.48pm - #14 Makaku
It's a handy field of intermediate grade trotters. 20 metres and 14 runners make it a tough ask. Our main aim will be to get him around in one piece.
Race 3 @ 6.28pm - #2 Miss Cherokee
This filly has come a long way in the last couple of months so she'll definitely benefit from the experience. From the draw, we'll be looking for a cosy trip, and hopefully see her hitting the line.
Race 6 @ 8.09pm - #13 Joes Rock
While it's a nice field of fillies and mares she definitely doesn't deserve to be paying $101 and $12. I'm sure she'll give her best, and find that customary sprint in the run home.
Race 9 @ 9.39pm - #1 Little Spike, #2 The Surfer & #4 Jolimont
Both Little Spike and The Surfer have the front tape advantage. It's a good field but they should land handy and give an honest account of themselves.
Jolimont has a head start on the two favoured runners. If he steps well and gets in front of them it could change the complexion of the race. I'm expecting a tidy showing.
